Autumn 2026

Completed
Commissioning of the new computing cluster
The new CCIAM cluster is open to users, with a single access point through the hedy login node.

The cluster offers several partitions tailored to different uses:

  • genoa: CPU computing;
  • hopper: GPU computing (NVIDIA H200);
  • visualisation: post-processing and remote visualisation.

Migration FAQ
HEDY incidents

Since October 2026
In progress
Gradual migration of Rheticus
The nodes of the former Rheticus cluster are gradually joining the new cluster in a dedicated partition.

The former Rheticus nodes are being progressively integrated into the skylake partition of the new cluster.

The former Rheticus home and save spaces remain accessible in read-only mode. Users are invited to retrieve the data they wish to keep now.

Expected end of migration: mid-November 2026.

Since October 2026
In progress
Interim BeeGFS scratch policy
An interim usage policy governs the scratch space until the new storage offering is available.

As long as scratch occupancy remains below 60%, no action is required. Above this threshold, a clean-up procedure is initiated with the five largest consumers of space.

This policy will evolve with the launch of the CCIAM storage offering (see below).
